Katie Rose

Brokerage Director

Katie-RoseKatie joined MENTOR Oregon in 2004 and is the Brokerage Director for the Metro Area region.  She is responsible for the oversight of all financial and program operations of Metro Area Brokerage and leads a team of personal agents that collectively helps hundreds of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) increase independence and live well in their respective communities.  Katie’s passion for her work is fueled by the daily achievements of the individuals in her brokerage region.

She has 12 years of professional experience that ranges from management to direct care for individuals with IDD.  Prior to her time with MENTOR Oregon, she held positions as a support coordinator with the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Oregon and SW Washington, as executive director for the YWCA of the University of Oregon, and a disability services support professional at the University of Oregon.

Katie has bachelor’s degrees in psychology and sociology from the University of Oregon.

“I believe that excellent social service trickles down.  I support and respect the employees with whom I work, and they support and respect the customers with whom they work.  We are not only fulfilling our job descriptions, but we are creating positive examples of inclusion in our communities.  Our society as a whole is stronger when all of its members are included, supported, and respected.”
